Matisse Workshop

Create beautiful bright pieces of art with absolutely no experience at all. Ideal as an introduction to colour. A liberating class for both experienced and complete beginners.

Working on large boards, you can choose your favourite Matisse to inspire you and change it to you preferred colour palette to hang in your home. Matisse tended to use pure colours so very little colours need to be mixed, maybe just a little white to soften!

Workshop Structure:

An Matisse Painting workshop includes:

• Welcome and workshop introduction

• Introduction to colour and technique followed by a demonstrations from Susie

• All the materials

• Matisse images to inspire you

• Opportunity to experiment and have fun with various colours and liberate your art

• Take your artwork home with you

• All materials are provided including aprons, brushes and paints.

• Tea, coffee and cakes will be served throughout to you can concentrate on immersing yourself in this fun creative process.

Susie is on hand throughout the workshop to help you develop your painting.

Please wear clothes that are comfortable and you aren’t worried about, just in case!

Minimum age is 14, minimum class size is 6 people.
If the minimum number is not enrolled we reserve the right to postpone the course.
