Learn To Paint Like The Scottish Colourists In Cornwall

Suitable for those with intermediate or some painting experience this is an opportunity to learn from one of the worlds most acclaimed copyists, Susie Ray. This is a really fun class to join or to take part in with a group of friends. Learn a completely new style and expand your skills by adding things like marble dusk to create a really thick chalky impasto effect and much more.

Workshop Structure:

An Scottish Colourists Oil Painting Class includes:

  • Welcome and workshop introduction

  • Introduction to technique followed by a demonstrations from Susie

  • All the materials including , pre-primed canvas, oil paints & easels.

  • Colour matched prints of the Scottish Colourists for inspiration

  • Support with technique throughout the two days from Susie Ray

  • A limited number of attendees to ensure that Susie is able to work with each artist individually throughout the two days

  • Tea, coffee and cakes will be served throughout to you can concentrate on immersing yourself in this fun creative process.

The Scottish Colourist two day oil painting workshops may include work from artists such as Peploe and Cadell, concentrating on replicating a Peploe.

Please wear clothes that are comfortable and you aren’t worried about, just in case!

Minimum of 4 people are required to run this course. We reserve the right to change the date if the minimum is not reached.
